Donald W. Goode

Donald W Goode passed to glory on 3/31/2021 after a long and fruitful life just shy of his 108th birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Pettibone Goode in1980 and his second wife Eleanor Bailey Richards in 2004, and.his son-in-law Anthony Treadwell in 2006.
He is survived by his children, Loomis (Beverly) Goode of Bend,OR, Nancy Treadwell of Baldwinsville,NY and Deborah McCormick of Cortland,NY, his step-children Thomas Richards, NYC, Claire Richards, of MA, William (Bonnie) Richards.His grandchilren, Robin  Sartor Mack (Timothy)of Baldwinsville, Christopher P Sartor (Susan),of Towson,MD, David Goode (Rachel) of Albany,OR and Stacey Goode of Bend,OR, Jared McCormick (Sonya) of Groton,NY, Erin Wright(Joseph) of Groton and Justin McCormick of Cortland ex-wife Natalia McCormick, ex-husbands Riccardo Sartor and James McCormick.
He was owner of insurance agency Goode and Webster in Manlius for 40 years,which was later bought by Haylor,Freyer and Coon.

He was a devote Episcopal and active at Christ Church ,Manlius for  many years and at his church in Arcadia,CA. Throughout his life he was involved local town, school and civic affairs. He believed it was his responsibility to contribute to his community. He was a proud alumni of Hobart (and William Smith) as an alumni trustee for20 years.

Aside from community affairs he loved golf, music, lacrosse,reading and Bridge which he played until Covid closed things down. He had a brilliant mind until the very end.

The family will have a memorial service sometime in early summer.
