Dorothy Divers, 92, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital
on Sunday, December 6 th . Dorothy was born in Long Beach California and grew up
in Syracuse New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, her parents
Robert and Mary Robinson, her brothers Robert, Donald, Gerald, Kenneth and
William and her sisters Pauline and Bernice. Dorothy was a homemaker. She met
her husband while working at the Syracuse airport restaurant. She worked various
retail jobs for many years and did the monogramming for various area department
stores. Dorothy was very athletic at a young age and she continued to enjoy
playing sports including golf, tennis, swimming and bowling. She hiked and
camped to the bottom of the Grand Canyon at the age of 65 with her son Ken. She
was an expert seamstress and loved sewing for her family. She loved the many
years she and her husband traveled around the country in their RV. She is survived
by her sisters Virginia and Mary Jane and her brother Jack. She is survived by her
son, Ken (Sue), daughters, Susan, Mary and Pennie (Michael). Dorothy was
adored by her 11 grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life; Brittany
(Jason), Michael (Leah) Eric, John, Moriah (Alejandro), Eleanor, Hope, Claire,
Ilsa, Sara (Ben) and Kelsey and her great grandchildren; Matthew, Weston, Arya,
Luna, and her beloved dog, Annie. She is also survived by her many nieces and
nephews whom she loved. She was truly loved and will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers,
contributions can be made in Dorothy’s name to Hospice of CNY, 990 7 th North
Street, Liverpool, NY 13088
