Lisa Kay (Young) Sweeting was called home to heaven on November 5, 2020. Lisa was born to parents Darrell Young and Mary Young on April 10. She was a loving wife to Douglas Sweeting for 34 years, an adored sister to Christopher Young and his family, a beloved sister-in-law, a precious aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and a caring to mother to Rachel Sweeting, Heather Sweeting and to her precious pug Thor Odin. Lisa was a Teaching Assistant at the Baldwinsville school district for 22 years and an important member of the Baldwinsville community. She was a kind soul and a faithful servant to her lord and savior. Lisa lived by the motto “have a joyful heart” and would want everyone to remember her as happy, vibrant beacon of light. “No time to cry. Don’t shed a tear. I am with Jesus; in spirit I am here. I kept the faith; my spirit is light. I am at peace now. I fought the good fight”. Services are private and family thanks for respecting their wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you support the Food Bank of CNY www.foodbankcny.org or the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation www.savetheseaturtle.com as Lisa loved turtles and the beach.
