Reese Fadden Obituary

Reese Merrill Fadden
September 16, 2014  – January 25, 2024

Reese Merrill Fadden, 9, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away suddenly on January 25, 2024, with her parents by her side.

Born September 16, 2014, in Syracuse, Reese brought joy to her parents, Jennifer (Norpell) Fadden, originally from Baldwinsville, and Timothy Fadden, originally from Jordan. Two years later, Reese’s sister, Quinn, was born, completing their loving family.

Reese’s vibrant spirit and boundless energy were evident to all who knew her. A third-grade student at Elden Elementary School, she approached life with an enthusiasm that was inspiring to everyone she met. She and her numerous cousins loved being together, and her early years were spent playing, dancing, tumbling and just being together as a large, extended family. From big vacations to weekly trips to the grocery store and regular family dinners, Reese was constantly with her cousins and together they shared countless joyful moments and adventures. A born nurturer, Reese was a mother’s helper for all babies and smaller children in her life. She memorized birthdays, names and stats, as she cuddled, fed, and cared for all the littles around her.

It was when she found the world of gymnastics that Reese truly shone. For more than three years, she dedicated herself to gymnastics with her teammates at Blaze Gymnastics, where her natural talent and unwavering determination were admired and cheered by coaches and peers alike. From practicing routines in the family’s living room to perfecting her skills in the most unexpected of places, Reese’s passion for gymnastics knew no bounds.

In addition to her immediate family and many cousins, Reese leaves behind a vast and loving community of grandparents (Curtis and Susan Norpell of Baldwinsville, and Tim and Donna Fadden of Central Square), and many aunts and uncles, all of whom are forever touched by her warmth, kindness, and zest for life.

Though Reese’s time with us was far too brief, her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her bright smile, gentle spirit, and enduring love continue to inspire us all.

A memorial service to celebrate Reese’s life will be held on Friday, February 2nd, open-house style during 4-7pm at the Aspen House in Radisson: 8550 North Entry Road, Baldwinsville.
